After losing both of my parents—and later, my uncle—I found myself completely overwhelmed by everything that comes after a loss. Not just the grief, but the mountain of legal to-dos, unorganized documents, forgotten accounts, personal belongings, and endless family logistics. I didn’t know what to do first—or who could help. So I created the thing I needed most: AfterLight.
We specialize in After Loss Services—supporting families through the practical and emotional chaos that follows a death.
And we don’t do cookie-cutter. While we have standard processes in place, each engagement is customized to reflect the unique circumstances of every family. No two estates—or grief journeys—are ever the same.
Some days, we’re organizing estate documents, chasing down accounts, negotiating with creditors and creating asset inventories. Other days, we’re checking on vacant property, coordinating document shredding, arranging for lawn care, or guiding overwhelmed executors through thorny family dynamics.
